A recent blog post entitled "Datamining the Catalogue of the Salamanca Papers" was posted by Maynooth University student Sarah-Louise Roche who is undertaking an MA in Digital Humanities with An Foras Feasa.

The blog post details the process of working within the online catalogue for "The Salamanca Archive" by utilizing the programming language python, identifying if the raw data could be used to create the desired networks and compiling a database to produce networks and visualizations for each corresponding document.

The archive of the Irish College at Salamanca was deposited in St. Patrick’s College Maynooth on the closure of the Irish college in Salamanca in 1952.  The papers comprise of some 50,000 administrative documents dating from the late sixteenth to the mid-twentieth century.
