Maynooth Green Communities Low Carbon Public Meeting:

An Taisce Legacy4LIFE invites all Maynooth residents, workers, and students to attend its Low Carbon public meeting on Thursday 28th of September 2023, from 7 pm – 9 pm at Glenroyal Hotel, Straffan Road, Maynooth.

Maynooth is one of Ireland’s leading climate action communities in research and planning, hosting the test site for An Taisce’s Legacy4LIFE Green Communities Low Carbon Plan and being the site of Kildare County Council’s Decarbonisation Zone.

But what does this mean, and where do you fit in with planning our local low-carbon future?

What are the benefits, challenges, and options?

The engagement and research that has been ongoing throughout 2022 and 2023 will be presented to all.

The Maynooth Low Carbon Calculator will visualise emission forecasts and reduction options.

Most importantly, you will vote on your preferred focus for the future of Maynooth’s Low Carbon Plan.

The new Green Communities Low Carbon Calculator will allow individuals to interact with and forecast their community Greenhouse Gas emissions. This will provide a direct visualisation of the likely impact of future climate actions on current community-level emissions. Attendees will vote on the preferred theme for future climate action planning.

All welcome... and all needed! Refreshments will be provided
