Pat Mooney: Toward a Long Food Movement
Pat Mooney is a co-founder of the highly influential ETC Group. For more than 55 years, Pat has worked within international civil society. He is the (co)author of several books on the politics of seeds, agrobiodiversity, biopiracy, and new technologies including genomics, nanotechnologies, and Big Data. Pat is a panellist on IPES–Food (International Panel of Experts on Sustainable Food Systems, Brussels) and an IFOAM Ambassador (International Federation of Organic Agricultural Movements, Bonn).

Ruby-Jo Cowdell: A National Peatlands Park for Kildare & the Midlands. 
Ruby-Jo Cowdell, 14, lives in Naas & is a climate activist & delegate at the Youth Assembly on Climate in Dáil Éireann.

Niamh McDonnell from Hedge School Ecologies
Niamh McDonnell is an artist, researcher, food fermenter educator, and curator. She will talk about using food fermentation and art making as pedagogical resources.

Afri, the Maynooth University Social Science Institute, the Dept of Geography, and the Maynooth University Dean of Teaching & Learning kindly support Maynooth University’s Festival of Food Sovereignty.

The event will be held in Auxilia House, which is on the North Campus of Maynooth University. Pay & display parking is available in car parks 2 and 9.
