ACSI Conference - May 2016

The 2016 biennial conference of the Association of Canadian Studies in Ireland (ACSI) took place in Maynooth on 13th-14th May 2016. Dr Julie Rodgers from the French Department (SMLLC) was the local organiser, under the lead of current ACSI president Professor Michael Brophy (French, UCD). The theme of the conference was Imagi/nation: Canada Past and Future. The conference was attended by His Excellency Kevin Vickers, Ambassador of Canada to Ireland. Dr Julie Rodgers was elected as incoming president of ACSI for 2016-2018 at the conference AGM. The conference committee are very grateful to the SMLLC and the Maynooth Conference and Research Office for their support. Support was also provided by UCD and the Canadian Embassy.
