Professor Michael Doherty recently traveled to Université Catholique de Lyon (UCLy) to meet with Dr Michel Cannarsa and Dr Louis Daniel Muka Tshibende to finalise details of the dual undergraduate programme between Maynooth University and UCLy.
The programme, which is due to launch in September 2018, will afford students a Bachelor of Civil Law from MU and a Licence en Droit from UCLy by spending the first two years studying in Lyon and the final year, and optional fourth year, studying at Maynooth. The programme offers students a grounding in both French and Irish law modules and students must be proficient in both English and French.
The two Universities already established a dual masters degree LLM (International Business Law) with students studying for one semester in both UCLy and MU.
