Maynooth School of Business Researchers Secure €111,000 Funding for Cutting-Edge Project on Digital Skills and Talent Management

Dr. Steven McCartney and Dr. Amy Fahy from Maynooth School of Business, in collaboration with Professor Na Fu from Trinity Business School and Dr. Mohammed Al-Waqfi from United Arab Emirates University, are celebrating a significant funding win of €111,000 for their project titled "Building and Managing Talent in Advanced Digital Skills: Practical Guidance and Best Practices for Upskilling and Reskilling in the Digital/AI Age."
 
This international collaborative project will investigate the critical role of humans in the face of dynamic technological advancements, with a specific focus on digital transformation and artificial intelligence (AI). Similarly, the research project will explore current strategies employed by organizations to upskill or reskill their workforce while also analyzing government initiatives supporting talent development, with a particular emphasis on fostering knowledge-intensive economies, especially in the development and implementation of AI technology.
 
This project not only emphasizes the timely importance of building human capital in the era of digital and AI innovation but also recognizes the importance of addressing the evolving challenges in the digital landscape.
