Psychology PhD and SPHeRE scholar awarded a prestigious Young Forum Gastein Scholarship (2014)
Pádraic Fleming, a SPHeRE PhD scholar in the Department of Psychology at Maynooth University, has recently been awarded a Young Forum Gastein Scholarship for the European Health Forum Gastein (EHFG) 2014. Padraic is supervised by Dr Sinéad McGilloway (Director of the Mental Health and Social Research Unit) and co-supervised by Dr Sarah Barry, TCD.

First PRISM workshop a huge success
PRISM, in conjunction with the Maynooth University Department of Psychology, presented its first training workshop in Maynooth University on the 1st of July 2014. The workshop, entitled "Everything you ever wanted to know about conducting a systematic review but were afraid to ask: A Training Workshop", was a resounding success.

NCG Researchers awarded Science Foundation Ireland Industry Research Fellowships
Dr. Conor Cahalane, Dr. Paul Lewis, Dr. Gavin McArdle and Dr. Timothy McCarthy are now each working with industry partners under the Industry Research Fellowship programme, funded by the Department of Jobs, Enterprise and Innovation. Ireland through Science Foundation Ireland.
