AMOPA Talk Series: Ms Nora Hickey M’Sichili Director of the Centre Culturel Irlandais, Paris

On 10 December 2020, AMOPA Ireland will host a conversation with Ms Nora Hickey M’Sichili, Director of the Centre Culturel Irlandais, Paris, since 2013 and Chair of FICEP, the Forum des Instituts Culturels Etrangers à Paris, a body that represents the 60 international Paris-based cultural centres. Previously Nora has held positions in Mermaid Arts Centre (Director), the Lewis Glucksman Gallery (Curator) and the Hunt Museum (Curator).

Nora will speak about the mission and ambitions of the Centre Culturel Irlandais as she prepares to launch the Centre’s new strategic plan, the governance of the CCI, some of its treasures and her considerations when developing an artistic programme regarded as a national showcase. Reflecting on changes in Paris since 2013, Nora will speak about her experience of living in a City which has been witness to many traumatic events and is rarely far from global news headlines.
