Biography
Greg Clooney is a freelance Sound Engineer and Lecturer with nearly 20 years industry experience in the areas of Recording/Mix Engineer, Producer, Live Sound and Audio Post Production. His client list includes Bruce Springsteen, U2, Dionne Warwick, Paolo Nutini, The Irish Film Orchestra, RTÉ, Newstalk and TG4. He is an Avid Certified Pro Tools Instructor and provides training at the highest level to industry facilities such as RTÉ and TV3 as well as academic training across a wide range of Masters and Degree programs. He is also an Apple Certified Pro in Logic Pro X and has a Masters (MPhil) Degree in Music and Media Technologies from Trinity College.
 
Previous Work
Greg is a former House Engineer of Windmill Lane Recording and now freelance across a wide variety of fields, particularly music mixing and mastering and post production and sound design for film and TV.

Post Production

  • Post Production Mixing and recording for various Podcasts and radio documentaries for RTÉ, Newstalk and local radio stations.

 
RTÉ
Greg has also previously worked as a television sound engineer for numerous shows including The Late Late Show, Primetime and The Sunday Game.
This involved many roles including full music setups for live performance during The Late Late Show and The Saturday Night Show including acts such as James Blunt and The Script and also location recording and Boom operation on set of Fair City.
 
Lecturer
Greg has been a senior lecturer and module head across various Masters and Degree programs in Colleges such as DCU, Pulse College, Griffith College and DIT.
