Dr Ferri Speaks at Conference at the Academy of European Law

Earlier this week, Dr Delia Ferri spoke at a conference for members of the judiciary which was organised by the ERA-Academy of European Law and which took place from 13 – 15 June 2016 in Tier.
 
The conference, entitled ‘EU Disability Law and the UN Convention on the Rights of Persons with Disabilities’ was attended by judges, prosecutors, and judiciary officials from all over the European Union. Dr Ferri spoke at the first session of the conference and also led a workshop and chaired the second session of the event.
 
The conference is part of a series of events devoted to EU Disability Law and the UNCRPD, in the framework of the European Union Programme for Employment and Social Innovation “EaSI” (2014-2020), organised by ERA on behalf of and in cooperation with the European Commission and with the support of the European Consortium of Foundations on Human Rights and Disability (EFC) and the European Disability Forum (EDF).
 
Dr Ferri has been featured as an invited speaker at several ERA events on disability law since 2011.
 
Dr Ferri is a lecturer at Maynooth University Department of Law where she lectures primarily in the fields of EU Law and International and European Disability Law.
