As the cup holders of the National Negotiations Competition 2015, Maynooth University Department of Law hosted the Irish National Negotiation Competition 2016 on Sunday, 29 May 2016.
Four teams competed in the competition, representing the Honorable Society of King’s Inns, the Law Society of Ireland, Maynooth University Department of Law, and the University of Limerick School of Law.
Maynooth Department of Law would like to thank the judges of the competition (Mr. Justice Michael Peart; Mr Ben Cunningham B.L., Mr Martin Cooney, Mr Greg Leddin, Mr Niall Kearney, and Ms Lucy O'Neill) and congratulate the winning team Ms Tara Gibbon and Mr Peter Mounsey (Law Society of Ireland) along with their coach Ms Jane Moffatt.
The winning team have the honour of going on to represent Ireland in the International Negotiation Competition, which will take place in Lucerne, Switzerland from 4 – 9 July 2016.
