Leland Bardwell 1922 - 2016

The poet and author Leland Bardwell has died age 94.  She was born in India and raised in Leixlip, Co. Kildare.
The library holds a selection of books which she wrote, edited or to which she was a contributor. Titles include - Them’s your mammy’s pills, Dostoevsky’ Grave, Fairytales for feminists and Borderlines.
The Pearse Hutchinson Archive also includes a number of original documents relating to Bardwell. Hutchinson and Bardwell were friends and colleagues, as well as co-founders of the literary journal Cyphers, together with Eiléan Ní Chuilleanáin and Macdara Woods.
