The collection based at Maynooth University contains coils, magnets, radios and telegraph machines, including the famous induction coil used by Marconi to give the first sports result broadcast by radio from the deck of the Jameson yacht of the then Kingstown in Dun Laoghaire regatta and printed in the then Dublin edition of the Daily Express.
