Medicinal Chemistry Conference

The First Medicinal Chemistry Ireland conference at national level took place on Friday 1st July 2016 at Trinity Biomedical Science Institute (TBSI). Over one hundred participants from industry and academia attended this one day event which brought together internationally renowned speakers in the field of Medicinal and Pharmaceutical Chemistry. Postgraduate students and academics from the Chemistry Department at Maynooth University participated in the event and showcased their research in the poster session. The Pharmaceutical and Medicinal sectors are of enormous importance to the Irish economy. The conference highlighted the need for academic and industrial research and development in this area in order to sustain Ireland’s position and as a key player in the global landscape.
