John O' Brennan published a new piece in Balkan Insight which argues that a recent decision by a Bulgarian Court to extradite a Russian dissident to Russia represents a flagrant challenge to Bulgaria's membership of the European Union.

Professor John O' Brennan participated in a workshop with other Jean Monnet chairs, on the future of European security and EU Enlargement policy at Jagiellonian University, Krakow on 17 November 2023. He also spoke to Euronews about Ukraine's prospects of joining the EU and how enlargement policy is likely to evolve in the years to come.
