RadioSpace: The National 5G Test Centre
RadioSpace is an SFI funded national facility for the measurement and experimentation with radio waves. A collaboration between the Radio Systems research team in the Department of Electronic Engineering and the Radio Astronomy team in the Department of Experimental Physics at Maynooth University; It consists of a space for the construction and design of radio-enabled electronics and devices, and a large shielded facility for the test of these devices without interference to regular users.

MaynoothWorks: Enterprise partnership, knowledge transfer and entrepreneurship innovation
MaynoothWorks (formerly the Commercialisation Office) comprises the activities of knowledge transfer, enterprise partnership and entrepreneurship innovation at Maynooth University.
This includes developing links with industry, protecting and exploiting Maynooth University generated intellectual property (IP) via licensing and business start-ups and embedding a culture of research commercialisation across the University.

Age Friendly Ireland-Maynooth University Partnership
The national Age Friendly Ireland Programme supports cities, counties and towns across Ireland to prepare for the rapid ageing of our population by paying increased attention to the environmental, economic and social factors that influence the health and well-being of older adults. Maynooth University partners with Age Friendly Ireland in working on enhancing the relationship between local government and academia in relation to Ireland’s Age Friendly Agenda.

International Centre for Local and Regional Development (ICLRD)
The International Centre for Local and Regional Development (ICLRD), is an umbrella initiative comprising the Maynooth University Social Sciences Institute at Maynooth University, the Belfast School of Architecture and the Built Environment at the University of Ulster and the National Center for Smart Growth at the University of Maryland. The ICLRD seeks to expand the contribution of spatial planning and development of physical, social and economic infrastructures in improving the lives of people in both jurisdictions on the island of Ireland.
