Storytelling is one of the best ways to stimulate students’ potential and interest in language learning. Dr Meishan Zhang has recently initiated a DIY audiobook project for our second year students. Students work in two groups. Both groups received ten pictures chosen from the Story Box with different plots and characters. The task is to make a story in Chinese by placing those pictures in a specific order. The students also need to record their stories with their own voices. The teacher has received the scripts from both groups which contains two imaginative stories in different styles. One of the audiobooks is completed and the second one is in the making. The two audiobooks will be release in class next Monday as one of students’ end of year achievements. Prizes and class photos will be followed.
