On 17 November 2018, a workshop was held in Maynooth University. The event was organized by Chinese Studies in the School of Modern Languages, Literatures and Cultures. It was attended by over 25 participants from the Embassy of the People's Republic of China in Ireland, Maynooth University Chinese Studies Union, UCC Confucius Institute, UCD Confucius Institute and Trinity Centre for Asian Studies. 7 speakers from Maynooth University, UCC and UCD delivered interesting presentations on Chinese migrants, Chinese language teaching and Chinese students’ life in Ireland.
