Aaron McAdams’ final year project is a wonderful example of inter-disciplinary work in action using the digital imaging lab in the Institution. His project involves Arts & Humanities, Computer Science, the library and St. Patricks College Maynooth.

"I'm a final year CSSE (Computer Science and Software Engineering) student. For my final year project, I have been working to digitise a manuscript document and create a robust API (Application programming interface). The document is an 18th century account ledger from the Irish College in Alcala, near Madrid. This unique manuscript is part of the Salamanca Archive housed in the Russell Library, Maynooth University. The project is interdisciplinary spanning Computer Science and Digital Humanities and history. The project is under the supervision of Dr. John Keating Computer Science and Professor Thomas O'Connor Arts and Humanities Institute. Other partners include Maynooth University Library and St Patricks College Maynooth. "
