Flexible modular structure that allows researchers to determine their own pathway through the content, in line with their own needs and schedule. 5 hours of core content

This programme is for postdoctoral, early and mid-career researchers across all fields and disciplines who want to learn strategies and techniques to develop and advance their research career.

Made up of ten concise modules (30-60 mins each), the programme explores the key capabilities that underpin research leadership, ensuring that researchers’ career goals are well-articulated and supported by a professional knowledge base.

Integrating opportunities for critical reflection and goal-setting, this programme will provide flexible tools, case studies and practical activities covering key areas including leading research teams; collaboration; managing projects; communication and relationship management; funding research; and building engagement, impact and dissemination strategies.

This programme will help researchers: Recognise and understand factors that can impact research careers, Have the tools and knowledge to take a strategic and reflective approach to managing and advancing their research career, Set realistic goals for career development to help establish themselves as a research leader.
