Seminar: Contemporary conflicts concerning protest, academic freedom and freedom of speech

The Department of Media Studies and the Maynooth University Arts and Humanities Institute have the pleasure of inviting you to an afternoon seminar examining campus and civil protest, and the politics of academic freedom and freedom of speech. The event is organised around a visiting lecture from Dr Nick Riemer, Departments of English and Linguistics, University of Sydney, and features further contributions from MU staff as well as a presentation from Scholars at Risk, who have just established their European office at MU. The seminar will be followed by a reception.
