About

Sheila is the Deputy Admissions Officer for Maynooth University, where she manages staff and collaborates with others to manage a wide range of projects including CAO Allocations and MU Open Days.
 
In 2022, Sheila was seconded for 8 months to work on the Government funded short-term emergency response project to support Ukrainian entry to the Higher Education sector in Ireland. She held the role of National Student and Researcher Helpdesk manager.
 
Sheila previously worked in DCU where she was responsible for management of Admissions and Registration for the university, leading multiple teams in the various processes and functions. She has also worked in Adult Education in UCD and is committed to widening participation. Formerly a second level French teacher, Sheila has varied and extensive experience working across the Education sector. She has worked with students and applicants at all stages of their educational journey and is interested in promoting lifelong learning.
 
Sheila holds a BA, H Dip in Education, Graduate Diploma in Adult & Community Education, from MU; a Masters qualification from UCD; and most recently a Graduate Diploma in Guidance Counselling from DCU.
