About

I received my BA (hons) in Early and Modern Irish at Trinity College Dublin; specialising in Early Irish in my final year, 2009.

I then taught Modern Irish at various vocational secondary schools in Dublin. In 2011, I graduated with a Postgraduate Diploma in Education, from Trinity College Dublin; specialising in post primary Irish language teaching.

In 2013, I graduated from University College Dublin, with an MA (hons) in Scríobh agus Cumarsáid na Gaeilge.

After graduating with my master’s degree, I started working at the Royal Irish Academy, on an Irish Research Council funded project, “Focail Fholaithe”; as part of the larger historical Irish dictionary project, Foclóir na Nua-Ghaeilge.

In September of 2014, I started working at Fiontar in Dublin City University, as a research assistant; this is where I currently work. I work on a large digitisation project; digitising the “Schools’ Folklore Collection” housed at the National Folklore Collection at U.C.D. to the website, www.duchas.ie

Half of my time is spent at the Placenames Branch, researching historical placenames and adding data to the placenames’ website, www.logainm.ie

In September of 2015, I graduated from Maynooth University, with the adult learning teaching qualification, Dioplóma i Múineadh na Gaeilge do Dhaoine Fásta.

In September of 2015, I started an M.Litt. (research) in Early Irish, focusing on “suffixes of agency” at Maynooth University. I teach tutorials in Old-Irish through Modern Irish, aimed at undergraduate students of Modern Irish.
