MAP Alumni Ambassador Programme

The Maynooth University Access Programme (MAP) was established in 1998 to increase the number of underrepresented students in Higher Education - mature students, first generation access students, students with a disability and members of the Irish Travelling Community.  Maynooth University has a national reputation in the area of widening participation.  As an alumnus you may have been supported by MAP in the past and have now moved on to a rewarding and exciting career.  Maybe you have wanted to find a way to support the very many students who experience major barriers and for whom higher education can seem out of reach. We are calling on MAP graduates to volunteer as an Alumni Ambassador to contribute your time, experience and skills.

As a MAP Alumni Ambassador you will have the opportunity to act as a role model for students by contributing to a number of MAP activities. There are many ways to get involved depending on your interests and availability.   It could be as simple as providing your education/career profile for our website outlining your own experience as a MAP student or you could attend an event to talk to current and prospective students about your own personal experience, share employment tips and network with recent graduates.

If you would like to become a MAP Alumni Ambassador, just complete this form and we'll get in touch.
For any queries on this programme, please contact access.advisor@mu.ie.

You could inspire other MAP students by sharing your career journey after you leave Maynooth. Visit https://www.maynoothuniversity.ie/graduateprofile and share yours online - we'd love to hear it!
