2022 MIEC Opening Ceremony was held on 4th December on FZU campus. The annual event is held in semester one to welcome first year students and to recognize outstanding academic performance of the preceding student cohorts. Academic year 2022/2023 is the first year to see MIEC in full operation with all four cohorts in place.
Her Excellency, Irish Ambassador to China, Ms Ann Derwin and the President of Maynooth University, Professor Eeva Leinonen, welcomed the freshmen MIEC students remotely through video greetings and congratulated the award-winning students. Professor Leinonen expressed firm support to the MIEC partnership and the cross-campus collaborations between MU and FZU.
