On 18th April, the ‘Internet +’ Innovation and Entrepreneurship Competition for college students, organised by the Ministry of Education, attracted 19 teams across 12 colleges of FZU.

The competition is committed to promote innovation and cultivate inter-academic projects in the field of "Internet +". "Internet +" is based on the Internet platform, using information and communication technology to integrate with various industries to promote industrial transformation and to create new products, services and models.

MIEC collaborated with a small project team of students and staff in the Fuzhou School of Electrical Engineering and Automation, the School of Civil Engineering, and the School of Electrical Engineering and Automation. MIEC students participating on the project team were as follows:

  • Wu Diancong (Robotics and Intelligent Devices)
  • Zhang Wei (Computer Science and Software Engineering)
  • Zheng Yuhan (Electronic Engineering)

Teams went through rigorous competing process which included a virtual presentation of the project and was followed by a Q&A session from a reviewing panel, with project team members required to defend their projects.

The MIEC project team received special recognition from the reviewing experts for the product market positioning, technology maturity and market application prospects. The project team will compete with winners from other colleges of FZU to get a place in the provincial level competition. We wish the MIEC students Wu Diancong, Zhang Wei, and Zheng Yuhan and all the project team involved in the competition the very best of luck in their preparations for the next stage of the competition.
