EU grants contribute to travel and subsistence costs during the time abroad. The daily allowance is available for a maximum of 5 days + 1 travel day each side, if relevant. No funding is available for weekend days, unless a travel day falls on a weekend.

The Erasmus+ funding is capped as per rates above and may not cover all cost incurred. Any extra funding will have to be covered from another funding source, for example a departmental budget, research budget, own expenses, etc.
Staff are welcome to book their own travel and accommodation within Europe or they can use Club Travel. If using Club Travel, please use departmental/research BU. The International Office will process an internal transfer after the mobility has taken place. Any balance owed will need to be claimed via ESS.
If booking own travel and accommodation, full grant payment will be claimed via ESS after the mobility has taken place.
The International Office will provide guidance on how to claim the Erasmus+ grant (or part thereof) via ESS.

**In case a staff member cannot travel abroad, the International Office will not be in a position to reimburse the cost already incurred. This will need to be covered from another funding source.
