The International Office (Pauline Di Girolamo) attended a workshop about Cultural Diversity in Higher Education. This course was hosted by the Department of Adult and Community Education and funded through a European Erasmus+ programme called ‘Integrating Cultural Diversity in Higher Education’.
The workshop was organised in three sessions and was offered to all staff working at Maynooth University.
The participants have been able to exchange and develop ideas around the theme of cultural diversity in Maynooth University, especially the interaction they have with students coming from another culture and their role in supporting their integration.
Thanks to the dynamism and the good knowledge of the subject of the two facilitators Jacqui and Zoryana, these three sessions have been a success and the participants went away with a better openness and some interesting ideas about how to encourage and support diversity in their daily work at the University.
