Maynooth University has recently welcomed a group of 16 students from the University of Toronto. The group is led by Prof Mark McGowan
The students are spending a month in Maynooth, studying and visiting many different historical sites. This Summer School programme is strongly linked with our Department of History. Some of our faculty have visited University of Toronto and they are going back there in September. The students are very keen to learn about Irish history, they had in depth historical tour of the South Campus and a visit to Bru na Boinne and the Battle of the Boyne site. This week the group will be heading to Strokestown.
We hope the University of Toronto students will enjoy the rest of their time in Maynooth.
