Maynooth University hosted a campus visit from Meio University 21st – 22nd November, a public Japanese university based in Okinawa, Japan. Professor Sumiko Ogawa visited with five Sports and Health Sciences undergraduate students to explore possibilities in research collaboration at MU and opportunities for her Japanese students in English language programmes, short-term programmes and Study Abroad. Professor Ogawa met with Prof. Brian Donnellan and Alison Cooke from the International Office, Prof. Jane Gray, Dr. Rebecca Chiyoko King-O'Riain, Dr. Mark Maguire, Dr. Joe Timoney and Dr. Roger Sweetman.

The Meio University students met with students from the Computer Science department and gave a presentation about Okinawa, Japan to the Anthropology and Japanese MU student societies, which was followed by cultural discussion and exchange, and some delicious pizza!
