On-campus International Student Summer Schools finally here!

Friday, June 10, 2022 - 10:00

Finally after all the ups and downs over the past two years, the International office is so thrilled to be able to greet our International Summer School students once again in person!

Over the next three months Maynooth University will have the privilege of welcoming up to 140 students from all over the world; students who were only too eager to sign up to our wide-ranging and diverse summer school programmes taking place both on - and off-campus.

We are also particularly excited to count amongst our summer school groups for the first time on campus our new International Summer School partner, the Colorado School of Mines. This is a partnership which was delayed due to the pandemic outbreak. Our ongoing partner, Texas Tech University is returning and have been since 2017 and it is a real pleasure to have them back on campus, with the support of the Engineering and Computer Science academic departments in creating their summer programmes.
We will also be gladly welcoming 12 students from the New Brunswick in Canada to our summer school, thanks to UNB funding secured from the Canadian government.

A number of our academic departments are running classes for our new Summer School students, for which we are all very grateful. Our visiting international students will all be living on campus and becoming a part of the university community over the months of June, July and August.

Students have excursions around Ireland, field trips and taking part in social activites, as well as their classes to look forward to, and will be guided by selected student coordinators.

Looking forward to your long-awaited arrival!
