Professor Doherty appeared on Morning Ireland on September 29^th  to discuss the ongoing row about Garda rosters and the threat of withdrawal of labour by Gardaí. The interview is available here.
 
Professor Doherty researches widely in the area of industrial relations law and policy and has written and commented extensively on strikes and collective bargaining, including his piece ‘'The First Thing We Do, Let’s Kill All the Lawyers…Workplace Discipline and Legal Representation', published in the European Labour Law Journal.
 
He is Full Professor of Law at Maynooth University School of Law and Criminology and lectures courses to all first year law students on Introduction to Law and Employment Law to BCL/ LLB students.
