Director of MA Medieval Irish research to shed new light on medieval literature & culture

Prestigious European Research Council €1.8m grant funding has been awarded to Prof. David Stifter, the Director of the MA Medieval Irish at Maynooth University. 
The MA Medieval Irish broadens and deepens students' knowledge of early Irish literature, language and culture, and with key research skills in preparation for a PhD or for careers in adult education and the heritage and culture sector. 

Modules on the MA include the study of medieval sagas and mythology, the learning tradition of medieval Ireland, Old Irish language and palaeography and manuscript culture.
