During the 2018/19 academic year, the Library is undertaking a pilot to assess the feasibility of offering the Inter-Library Loan service without charge in support of staff and registered students' research activities. The Inter-Library Loan service provides access to material required for research that is not held in the libraries at Maynooth University and St Patrick's College, Maynooth. The Inter-Library Loan service endeavours to source this material from other libraries worldwide. The Library reserves the right to cap the number of free requests allocated per person.

Some changes regarding the collection of Inter-Library Loan items:
It is no longer possible, due to supplier terms and conditions, to post articles. Libraries are liaising with the supplier regarding electronic supply. In the meantime, all supplied articles will be available for collection at the Information Desk in the Library during service hours.
