Congratulations to Dr. Anne O'Connor, Lecturer at Institute of Technology Carlow who yesterday successfully defended her PhD in Sociology , "Finding Sanctuary: the occupational choice of animal shelter work." Dr. O'Connor was supervised by Professor Sean O'Riain and the External Examiner was Dr. Rhoda Wilkie, a specialist in Human-Animal Studies from the University of Aberdeen.
