PhD and Research Programme applications:
Before applying for a Research Programme, your must contact your proposed supervisor to develop a research proposal. It is possible to commence a PhD or Research Masters at any time, subject to the agreement of the supervisor and Department.
For PhD and Research Masters applications, the PAC application is made only after your acceptance onto a research programme has been agreed by the Department and your prospective supervisor. Normally PhD and Research Masters applications require applicants to upload a research proposal.
Please see the course content for your Research programme and speak to the Maynooth University Department for information on requirements for research proposals. Telephone or face-to-face interviews may also be required for some programmes.
Taught Masters, Diplomas and Certificate applications:
You may include up to three taught programme choices on your online taught application. You will be considered for each of the programme choices mentioned on your application form. A personal written statement describing your suitability and motivation to undertake the programme is often required. Telephone or face-to-face are also required for some programmes.
