There is a great need for suitably qualified engineers to fulfill the existing and future needs of the global smart economy. This course addresses that need by providing an exciting range of topical modules and a state-of-the-art engineering facility. The programme also offers the student a chance to develop their research skills in a full-time three month project.

At least an honours degree grade 2.2 in Electronic, Electrical, Computer, or Telecommunications Engineering. Other qualifications evaluated on an individual basis. Applicants must have a recognised primary degree which is considered equivalent to Irish University Primary Degree level.
Minimum English language requirements:
- IELTS: 6.5 minimum overall score
- TOEFL (Paper based test): 585
- TOEFL (Internet based test): 95
- PTE (Pearson): 62
