We are excited to welcome you to our wonderful campus. In addition to our Subject Talks, there will be many other events taking place on campus. We’ve created a helpful schedule of events (to be shared on this page over the summer) so you can plan your visit. You will have a personalised schedule as well.
Starting university is a big deal — and your first few weeks here are all about getting settled in, meeting new people, and discovering what you want to get out of your time at Maynooth, both academically and personally.
To help you hit the ground running, we’ve put together an Online Orientation course called “My Maynooth on Moodle” — your go-to guide to university life! It’s a perfect companion to everything happening during Welcome Week on campus. Inside the course, you’ll find:
- A breakdown of what your first weeks will look like
- What to expect in and out of the classroom
- Where to find support, services, and resources when you need them
- Real talk from current students sharing their best tips, must-knows, and insider advice
Once you’ve registered and gotten your MU student email, you can access “My Maynooth” any time — binge it all in one go or dip in and out at your own pace. Your journey, your way. New content drops every month, so you’ll always have the info you need, exactly when you need it.
Maynooth University is committed to the development of an institutional campus culture which is safe, respectful, supportive and positive. Prior to in-person registration, all incoming students are asked to complete a 30-minute online workshop on consent. This training will provide you with knowledge and skills that will help you to keep yourself safe and enjoy your college experience. The workshop can be found on Moodle, Maynooth’s Virtual Learning Environment. It is available to access 24/7 once you have received your Maynooth login details.
