Student Makes Final of Undergraduate Awards, 2016

An essay by third year student in the Department of Sociology, Keith Rowan, has been highly commended and made the shortlist in the Social Sciences category in this year's international Undergraduate Awards.

His essay was in the top 10% of  all submissions in the Social Sciences: Anthropology & Cultural Studies category. 

His essay entitled "Feminist Engagement With Technoscience", was assessed by a panel of academics from universities around the world. The essay was submitted in part fulfillment of the requirements for 'Technology and Culture', a third year module taught by Dr. Aphra Kerr of the Department of Sociology. 

This year the undergraduate awards received 5,514 submissions from students in 243 universities across 40 countries.

Overall winners will be announced on Sept. 6th.
