↵Congratulations to the Sociology and Politics students who were awarded prizes based on their academic achievements at Maynooth University on November 9, 2016.
 
Sociology
*Brien Hanrahan is awarded the McKevitt Memorial Prize for the best performance in the First Year Sociology Examination. 
*Martha Kearns is awarded the Newman Memorial Prize for the best performance in the Second Year Sociology Examination. 
*Danielle O’Connell is awarded the Professor Liam Ryan Memorial Prize for the best performance in the Sociology B.A. Degree Examination. 
*Joseph Penny is awarded the Coffey Memorial Prize for the best performance in the MA in Sociology. 
*Danielle O’Connell and Deirdre Campbell are awarded the Justine Horgan Memorial prize for best B.A. research projects presented in the Department. 

Politics
*Cathal Coffey is awarded the First Year Politics Prize for the best performance in the First Year Politics Examination. 
*Eoin Hoey is awarded the Second Year Politics Prize for the best performance in the Second Year Politics Examination. 
*Hannah Byrne Ó Moráin is awarded the Third Year Politics Prize for the best performance in the Politics B.A. Degree Examination 

PhD Awards
*Joshua Savage is awarded the John & Pat Hume Scholarship. 
*Philip Finn and Richard Healy are awarded Government of Ireland scholarship awards.
