The Galway Arts Festival which runs from 11-24 July, 2016 hosted an innovative series of "First Thoughts" panel discussions focusing on aspects of identity from a range of different viewpoints. On Saturday, July 16th, Professor Mary Corcoran joined a panel discussion with Rory O Neill/Panti Bliss and Blessings Moyo on the theme "All Change? Ireland's identity in 2016". The discussion was chaired by Orlaith McBride, Director of the Arts Council.
