Dr. Rubén Flores of the Higher School of Economics, Moscow, is a visiting researcher at the Department of Sociology during September-October 2016 and again during January-March 2017.
Dr. Flores’s research interests include the sociology of caring practices and compassion, and the dialogue between Buddhism and social research. While at Maynooth, he is working on a project on healthcare systems in middle-income countries, and is happy to meet with members of staff and students.
Dr. Flores will be giving a seminar on his work later in the academic year.
