A paper co-authored by Dr Jean Cushen has been nominated for the WES 2017 SAGE Prize for Innovation and/or Excellence.

The paper, which Jean co-authored with Professor Paul Thompson (University of Stirling), is entitled ‘Financialization and Value: Why Labour and the Labour Process Still Matter’ and is published in Volume 30, Issue 2 of Work, Employment and Society.

The paper is one of only six shortlisted by editors for the prize from all papers published by the journal throughout 2016.

This prize is awarded to the paper judged to be the most innovative and/or exceptional in the past year’s volume of the journal.  A panel of judges from the journal will choose the winner from amongst those shortlisted and the winning paper will be announced later this year.
