Gillian Moran Joins the School of Business

Gillian Moran joins Maynooth University School of Business.
 
Gillian is currently competing her PhD at University College Dublin, focusing on how brand communications drive customer brand engagement in social media. She holds a Masters of Business Studies in Marketing and a B. Comm from the National University of Ireland, Galway. Prior to joining the School of Business, Gillian taught Marketing at undergraduate and postgraduate levels at the Quinn and Smurfit Schools of Business, University College Dublin (Ireland). Before joining academia, she held various business roles in marketing and administration both in Ireland and internationally.
 
Gillian's research interests principally lie in the area of social media marketing.  Her research focuses on investigating the strategic use of brand communications within the social media environment. Additionally, she is interested in the complementary research area of electronic word-of-mouth and its strategic implications for brands. Gillian has published in leading international marketing journals including the Journal of Advertising Research, and the Journal of Marketing Communication. She has presented her work at conferences, including at the European Marketing Academy amongst others.
