Final year Equine Business student, Robin Dawson, wrote an excellent column in the Irish Examiner, published on 1 March 2017.
Robin, who is a Harrington golf scholar as well as a student at the School of Business, has had two runner-up finishes competing in South Africa recently with the GUI Men's team. The piece in the Examiner gives an insight into how Maynooth University’s golf scholars get the unique opportunity to combine their studies with an international golf training and competition schedule.
Over the coming weeks, Robin will be writing a series of columns while on the road with both the University and GUI teams with the help of Simon Lewis, golf writer with the Examiner.

Robin is back on the road this week competing at the Spanish International Amateur in Valencia along with five of his MU teammates, all of whom are on the GUI's National Men's Team.
