Maynooth’s Eye on the Universe:

This exhibition by the Department of Experimental Physics is a presentation of astronomical images and spectra taken by fourth year Physics with Astrophysics students in the years since this degree began. Each year students travel to the Observatoire de Haute-Provence to take observations with the 0.8 m, 1.2 m and 1.5 m telescopes. These observations form the basis of their final year thesis projects. The department has selected the observations presented in the exhibition as a demonstration of the breadth of the work done over the years by the students.
