Third meeting of the Criminal Law Forum takes place in Trinity College Dublin

Monday, April 15, 2019 - 10:15

The Criminal Law Forum, coordinated by Maynooth University Department of Law, held its third meeting in Trinity College Dublin on Saturday, 23rd March. The Forum aims to provide a space for the cross-fertilization of knowledge and ideas between practitioners and academics working in the broad criminal justice area. This meeting of the Forum was hosted by Dr. Liz Heffernan, Associate Professor of Law, TCD. Dr. Miriam Delahunt BL delivered a presentation at the Forum on 'The Implementation of the EU Victims' Directive in Ireland' which was followed by a lively discussion.

The Forum was established by Una ni Raifeartaigh, now a judge of the Irish High Court, and Niamh Maguire, Waterford Institute of Technology.

The Department of Law in Maynooth was very pleased to be invited by Judge ni Raifeartaigh to coordinate the Forum into the future, particularly given that the Judge is now one of our Adjunct Professors of Law here in Maynooth.
