Gerards's project is in collaboration with Dr Aneta Stepien of Critical Skills. This project is researching the impact of disinformation and fake news as a threat to critical knowledge and hence, the academic community. Part of this research project will be the development and production of a student focused podcast designed to develop and enhance students’ online media literacy. This is in order to allow students confidently navigate through online sources and critically evaluate its content enabling stronger research skills and confidence in academic writing.
Ger is a PhD candidate at the Department of Law and teaches International Law.
