This map is part of a collection of items recently acquired by Special Collections and Archives at MU Library.  The map incorporates a survey of Harristown in the parish of Moyglare, barony of Upper Deece and County of Meath and is from the Estate of Thomas Swords Esq.  It was designed by Sherrard, Brassington and Greene, a leading firm of surveyors in early nineteenth-century Ireland.

Other items include a letter on vellum documenting the initiation of Charles Hendrick into the Guild of Merchants in the City of Dublin dated 26 October 1704 and a proclamation by the Lord Lieutenant and Council of Ireland issued by Philip Earl of Hardwicke and dated 1803.

The map of Harristown is currently on display in the display case in front of the Special Collections reading room on the second floor of the library.
