Dr Edana Richardson presented a paper at the BIES Conference 2019 held at the University of Durham. The conference, organised by the Durham Centre for Islamic Economics and Finance, focused on how the Islamic finance industry has been progressing. Dr Richardson’s paper was entitled ‘Responsible Finance Sukuk in the UAE – Playing catch up’ and looked at the measures put in place in the UAE to encourage and facilitate the issuance of responsible finance sukuk.
Dr Richardson teaches Islamic Finance law on the LLM in International Business Law and the LLM in Global Legal Studies.
